FLORA AND ULYSSES by KATE DiCAMILLO

FLORA AND ULYSSES  is one of my favourite books and also by one of my favourite authors, too.

Some squirrels are strange and interesting (strange because they may be a superhero by typing poetry, flying, getting vacuumed up and surviving, and vanquishing fat, hairy cats named after their owner). Ulysses is the crazy squirrel named after a the Ulysses 2000 vacuum that almost killed him.

I never really thought of squirrels as "interesting" until this (unpredictable) book. It is a book for ages 7 and up and also for someone who likes a book that you can find the most surprising events in.

I really loved how the events all came together in the end and how they were so unpredictable. If you find this book I say you should give it a try.

AWAKE AND DREAMING by KIT PEARSON

Ever feel like your family doesn't want or need you? Well your wrong.

In this book, by Kit Pearson, a young girl thinks her mom (who is only 20 and smokes in her apartment) doesn't love her. Then she becomes part of a new family that everything is perfect!

Or is it? Why is it no one answers her when she asks where her real mom is?

Later, she meets a ghost and they make friends. Anything can happen in this world! You can meet the family you dreamed about. You can make friends with the ghost-author of your favourite book. Secrets are everywhere! But still, is it possible to be awake and dreaming? Apparently in this world ANYTHING is possible, even being awake and dreaming!

Another one of my favourite authors do it again! As for rating, 4.5 stars out of 5. I say that because it could use a bit more descriptive words. Those are my only next steps for Kit.

Once again, this book is another good book to get for anyone. So if you ever need a new book, hunt for this one.

I got most of my interest from the way it dares you to keep reading and challenges you to NOT PUT DOWN THE BOOK.

Please be on the look-out for this book. Thank you.

HOUSE OF HADES by RICK RIORDAN

This is DEFINITELY my favourite book and author. It is the fourth book in the second series, and has awesome events.

It's adventure, horror and a drop of romance (not really) all squished together in one. Truthfully, this is the best type of novel. It's also a PERCY JACKSON book which means its impossible not to like.

I've read the entire first and second series and I'm waiting till next fall for, THE BLOOD OF OLYMPUS to come out. Until then, all I can do is write this book review and post on my blog.

But I can also recommend this book for you. Think about an awesome story that you've been waiting for almost a year. Now imagine it coming out and getting the first copy for FREE. Imagine 40000 times that. You're nowhere near feeling the excitement of reading this book.

So I highly recommend this book for all of you.

THE TALE OF DESPERAUX by KATE DiCAMILLO

This book is AMAZING. Looking at the cover you might think, "Man, I don't want to read about a mouse." But it's not just a book about a mouse. It's about a mouse who is born wrong, and goes to a room in the castle they live in and falls in love with the princess.

When he reports the big news to the mouse council, which includes his father, they realize this particular mouse must die. So they tie thread around his neck and send him to the dungeon with the rats. Meanwhile a rat wishes to get out of the dark dungeon and in to the light. Then it continues on with a bunch more characters.

But its more complicated than that and is better than it sounds.

If you like sad, scary, and adventure this is the book for you. Its by one of my all time favourite authors, Kate Dicamillo. This book is appropriate for all ages, and makes sure that it always has your attention. It's one of those books you get right into it, wanting to know what happens next, not wanting it to end.

I would rate this book six out of five stars. That is how good it is. I SERIOUSLY AM RECOMMENDING THIS BOOK FOR YOU and YOUR KIDS.

So surprise them and yourself to an award-winning book. If it's as awesome as I thought it was, don't be surprised. I bet soon it will be your fave book and Kate will be your fave author.

Kate has LOTS of other AMAZING books which I've read. My fave being THE ADVENTURES OF EDWARD TULANE. But anyway, I really really hope you take my advice. Read this book.
